IT Shared Services provides the primary technology used by all campuses to support their operations. These include: shared resources of data centers, computing hardware, software applications, network and voice communications, collaboration and productivity capabilities, central web services, risk management, and security and compliance services. The IT Shared Services Department at the University of North Texas System is seeking to hire an IT Support Specialist III to join our team. This position is responsible for providing tier 1 technology support and maintaining security of computing resources. Troubleshoots both hardware and software problems within a University environment. Duties reflect substantial variety and complexity. Acts as a resource to other staff in resolution of complex problems and issues. Knowledge of principles of computing and communications networks, and characteristics of computing hardware and software used in distributed environment is required. In addition, this position will act as the coordinator of the Knowledge Management process.
Associate’s Degree in related field and three years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
