Job DescriptionTwo post-doctoral positions are available in the Qiao Lab in the Department of Molecular Biosciences at the University of Texas at Austin. Our primary research is using Arabidopsis and other crops to study the metabolic states and chromatin regulation in ethylene signaling, which allow us to gain a deep understanding of how nuclear dysfunctions and imbalances between metabolism and chromatin activities. Our highly interdisciplinary research program combines aspects of lead-edge technologies and genetic, genomic, proteomic, molecular, and biochemical approaches. Our goal is to develop a validated mechanistic model that accurately describes the molecular mechanism of the integration of metabolic state and histone modification in hormone signaling and stress responses.
The applicants who have strong background of data analysis and skills in plant molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetic analyses are highly desired. All candidates should have strong publish record, English communication skills (written and verbal). The right person who has a strong track record of working collaboratively and harmoniously with their previous lab members are desired.
