Job Description

Summary

As the Senior Clinical Operations Associate for the Department of Medicine, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing margin generating opportunities that span the Department. You will be responsible for interpreting data that impacts the Faculty Group Practice; revenue cycle, productivity, patient access, patient satisfaction, quality metrics, annual budget. This position requires a combination of both technical skill and interpersonal skill.

 

This position will be a central resource for the Department of Medicine's clinical operations. The candidate will be responsible for digesting all Group Practice data available to formulate scalable initiatives that will enhance productivity and efficiency. The ability to review and subsequently identify trends out of large data sets will be necessary, as is the ability to interact and lead physician/admin leadership towards common goals.

Job Duties

  • Works in tandem with administrative and physician leadership to ensure clarity & transparency of data/initiatives/goals.
  • Maintains partnerships with BCM infrastructure relative to the group practice (PRC/PBS/Epic I.T./Facilities).
  • Maintains regular presence in clinic rounding to observe, and work with clinical employees on initiatives being implemented 
  • Digests all Group Practice data available to formulate scalable initiatives that will enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Reviews and subsequently identifies trends out of large data sets.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. 
  • Four years of relevant experience. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an academic setting and familiarity with trainees (Residents, Fellows).
  • Experience with databases: AMBS/QGenda/Cube/Business Warehouse/Epic/Power BI.
  • Experience in ambulatory, outpatient, inpatient service locations.
  • Experience interacting with clinical support staff, physician leadership, and administrative leadership.
