Job Description

Summary

Dr. Rui Chen's lab utilizes cutting edge omics technologies, including single cell omics, to identify and study the genetic and molecular mechanism underlying human visual system disorders.  With a combination of both informatics and experimental approach, Dr. Chen's group provides an excellent environment for the training of undergraduate students who are interested in bioinformatics, computational biology, and genomic medicine. The student will work under the direct supervision of junior faculty, postdoc fellows, or senior graduate student to learn and provide assistant in performing data analysis and experimental validation.  By utilizing a combination of bioinformatic analysis, data mining, and experimental model animals and in vitro system recently established at the lab, the aim is to better understand the disease mechanism at the molecular level, which is essential for developing better treatment of the human disease.

Job Duties

Responsible for one or more of the following duties:

  • Provides office administrative support.
  • Provides research administrative or technical support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No experience required.
