IRR provides data support for University planning and administration. This is an entry-level institutional research position, tasked with data gathering, analysis, and reporting. While prior IR experience is a plus, it is not required for entry-level work. Critical thinking skills, clear and concise writing style, graphic design abilities, project or knowledge management, and/or higher education work experience are all potential assets for this position.

 

Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Information/Library Science, or related field, AND: 

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Able to build rapport quickly with colleagues and campus partners 
  • Detail oriented with good proofreading and composition skills
  • Highly organized and able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Advanced Excel skills with ability to build and manipulate spreadsheets
  • Strong initiative to solve problems
  • Basic research skills and experience with data analysis techniques
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively, engage in repetitive motion, hear, see, including color, depth perception. Manual dexterity. Ability to sit for short or extended periods of time. Standard office work environment.
