Job Description

Possess a proven track record of excellence in GI Oncology, including research contributions and experience in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting. The Chair is responsible for the continued development of a diverse workforce where the Moffit value of Inclusion is paramount. The Chair is responsible for the overall performance of the Department including strategic planning for program development, clinical operations, faculty research and academic activities and budgetary stewardship.

The Chair actively engages in, encourages, and fosters development of clinical and health services research and scholarly activity to enhance the academic environment of the department, and practices medicine in an exemplary manner. This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the content of the didactic program and technical training for trainees at all levels. The Chair of the Gastrointestinal Oncology reports to the Physician in Chief.



  • MD/DO, MD, MD/PhD, DO, DO/PhD 
  • Successful completion of an approved Fellowship in Medical Oncology or Surgery
  • Florida Medical License
  • DEA License
  • Board Certified in Medical Oncology or Surgery
  • BLS 
  • Minimum of 7 years experience as a Medical Practitioner with experience in clinical care, research, education in an Academic Medical Center setting.
