TH142: Musicianship II 4.5 Credits (MWF 8:00-9:00 lecture; T 8:00-9:30 lab)
TH 452 Analytical Studies II 3 Credits (Topic TBD; 3 credits; MWF 1:00)
TH 623 Seminar in Music Theory 3 Credits (Topic TBD; 3 credits; online)
Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate music majors college-level music theory and musicianship that integrates both written and aural skills (sight singing, rhythm, keyboard harmony, and dictation) in a course that meets 3 times/week as a 60-minute lecture and once/week as a 90-minute lab.
- Communicate and partner professionally with the Dpt. of Music Studies Faculty
Position Requirements
- Master’s degree in music theory, composition, or related field
- Demonstrated music theory teaching experience
Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- PhD or DMA in Music Theory or Composition
- 2 years of demonstrated successful music theory teaching experience at the college level
