Architects, designs, and provides technical oversight of the development of software that enables Intel GPUs. Scope may span the entire stack including drivers, frameworks, protocols, algorithms, APIs, and applications as well as structure and validation direction. Responsible for pathfinding and providing technical direction for software development. Interacts with technologists across Intel and within the industry to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development. As a principal engineer, recognized as a domain expert who influences and drives technical direction across Intel and industry. Develops and mentors other technical leaders, grows the community, acts as a change agent, and role models Intel values. Aligns organizational goals with technical vision, formulates technical strategy to deliver leadership solutions, and demonstrates a track record of relentless execution in bringing products and technologies to market.
Experience and skills:
Experience writing or debugging applications using DirectX12 or Vulkan.
Experience with compute shaders, HLSL, and compute kernels for graphics and compute workloads.
Experience with developing applications on Windows
Strong fundamentals in algorithms, design, and architecture.
Strong experience with graphic drivers, GPU hardware, and low-level GPU programming.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, or any STEM-related field with over 7+ years of industry experience
7+ years of experience in the following:
Driver software or firmware development
Experience in C / C++ software product development, ability to understand HW and relevant specifications needed to develop/validate the software.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, or any STEM-related field with over 6+ years of industry experience
