The Department of Math, Physics and Computer Science (MPCS) has 28 full-time faculty members who are committed to teaching in a diverse environment. Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College Department of MPCS invites applications for our tenure-track Assistant Professor of Information Technology (IT) position. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Instructors are required to teach in-person classes, which may include evening courses. Some classes may also be offered with online or hybrid options. Class sizes normally range from 15-30 students.

Essential Functions
Teach courses such as Systems Administration, Introduction to Networking, Programming, Web Development and Databases.
Participate in the governance and committee work of the Department, College, and University, and ongoing professional development in the discipline of information technology and/or the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Faculty members will be expected to use our course management system (Canvas) and any textbook-specific systems, as well as other relevant classroom technology.
Hold regular office hours to meet with students.
Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework.
Minimum Requirements
Prior to the effective date of the appointment, the selected candidate must have:

A Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field and one (1) academic year of teaching experience in IT or computer science related courses at the college level.
