Job Description

The Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a PRN Psychiatrist in its growing Behavioral Medicine Service, which is part of the Supportive Care Medicine Department.

 

Responsibilities include attending on the inpatient consultation service, participating in the outpatient clinic practice, supervision of advance practice providers and participating in the clinical, educational, and research activities of the department. The ideal candidate will have experience with consultation liaison practice and/or a psycho-oncology background.

 

Requirements

Applicants must have a Florida medical license as an M.D. or D.O. and be board certified or eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and must become board certified within five (5) years of initial appointment.

The Cancer Center is comprised of a large ambulatory care facility, a 206-bed hospital, with a 36-bed blood and marrow transplant program, 20 state of the art operating suites, a 30-bed intensive care unit, a high-volume screening program, and a basic science research facility. The Moffitt Research Institute (MRI) is comprised of approximately 160 Principal Investigators, 58 laboratories, and 306,000 square feet of research space.
