The Director of Graduate Student Success will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a graduate student retention plan and success initiatives and to oversee the Graduate School’s Pathways and professional development programs.

Job Function:
The Director of Graduate Student Success will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a graduate student retention plan and success initiatives and to oversee the Graduate School’s Pathways and professional development programs.
Minimum Education:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred Education:
Master’s degree in student affairs administration or other related field.
Minimum Experience:
Two years of related professional experience working in higher education.
Preferred Experience:
Additional years of experience working in higher education; experience working in graduate student retention, student success, and/or mentoring programs, or in related programming for undergraduate students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Pathways Mentoring Program and work with partners across the university to implement the inclusive excellence goals of the Graduate School.
- Create, manage, promote, assess, and evaluate graduate student success events. Collaborate with staff across campus who work on professional development programming for graduate students.
- Advise university departments offering graduate programs regarding student success, retention efforts, and related strategies.
- Collaborate with the Associate Dean of the Graduate School to develop and implement a comprehensive graduate student retention plan.
- Manage Graduate School communications about all student success programming.
- Serve as a liaison with various academic, student affairs, and inclusive excellence offices on campus.
- Develop, manage, and evaluate a graduate student association.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
