Job Description

Summary

The ICTR is currently seeking a Student Intern/Aide to assist with data management and statistics support. The intern will receive comprehensive training in epidemiology and population health, focusing on acquiring, cleaning, processing, and analyzing health data, especially spatial datasets. They will learn to conduct literature reviews, develop and implement research methodologies, and engage in patient-reported outcomes (PRO) and community-engaged (CE) research.

Job Duties

  • Develop skills in acquiring, cleaning, processing, and analyzing health data.
  • Gain proficiency in conducting and synthesizing literature reviews for biomedical research.
  • Enhance communication and networking skills through active participation in team meetings and professional events.
  • Attend and participate in weekly team meetings on epidemiology and population health research.
  • Assist in acquiring, cleaning, processing, and analyzing health data, especially spatial datasets.
  • Conduct literature reviews to support biomedical research projects.
  • Participate in developing and implementing new research methodologies.
  • Produce content for research presentations, reports, and publications.
  • Contribute ideas during team brainstorming sessions.
  • Network with professionals by attending academic conferences and meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
