Position Highlights

The Revenue Cycle Instructional Designer partners with Revenue Cycle, including Clinical Research Revenue Cycle, to analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain professional learning content for all aspects of the division. This includes, but is not limited to, hosting live learning experiences, developing web-based training courses, and creating and maintaining instructional/technical documentation (i. e. manuals, guides). Additionally, this position will be required to adeptly learn new systems, software, hardware and processes in order to develop accurate, intuitive and learner-focused training. The Revenue Cycle Instructional Designer will participate in peer-review processes with other designers on the team. This position is also responsible for presenting their developed content to stakeholders and leadership after publishing as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, identify, develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain Revenue Cycle educational requirements and improvement opportunities. Identifies priorities and plans accordingly.  
  • Plan, design, develop, and implement educational programs utilizing principles of adult learning and varied instructional design strategies.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of materials and revise educational programs.
  • Build and maintain online learning resources within a learning management system (LMS) and/or content management system (CMS) in conjunction with Training Coordinator.
  • Contribute to organizational excellence through service, collaboration, and the delivery of exceptional learning experiences.

 

Credentials and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Curriculum & Instruction in Instructional Design and/or Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience creating adult learning materials, including but not limited to interactive online courses, presentations, reference guides, and policies and procedures manuals.

Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including proper grammar and punctuation.
  • Professional/corporate communication style with which to collaborate and communicate with leadership, end users, technical staff, and other internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Demonstrable understanding and implementation of adult learning theory, education planning processes (including, but not limited to ADDIE, SAM, UBD, OK-LCD, and related), various communication methods including multimedia applications, as well as program development and evaluation.
  • Able to quickly develop a thorough comprehension of theory and application of revenue cycle processes and workflows for developing content for stakeholders in a variety of revenue cycle areas (i. e. Health Information Management, Financial Clearance Unit, Revenue Integrity, and others).
  • Able to efficiently multi-task projects independently and in an organized manner per existing standards and expectations while meeting forecasted deadlines.
  • Proficient or advanced skills in interactive course and content authoring and development tools including Articulate Storyline or Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud suite, PowerPoint, and/or related applications.
  • Experience using content development and graphic design resources such as Canva, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and others.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to learn and grow both as an individual contributor and as a team through professional development, collaborative activities, as well as providing and accepting constructive feedback.
