Job Description

Summary

Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Allergy & Immunology at Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and organized individual to join the Food Allergy Research Program (FAP) as a Research Technician. The technician can work independently and in a team environment with a strong sense of professionalism.

Job Duties

  • Processes clinical research samples.
  • Collects, compiles, and analyzes data.
  • Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
  • Prepares and ships samples.
  • Selects, evaluates, and applies techniques used in routine research.
  • Processes clinical samples from various Food Allergy and other research studies, as needed.
  • Enters study data into various study databases (e.g. REDcap).
  • Orders and maintains lab supplies for the Food Allergy Program activities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field.
  • Experience with biological sample processing, storage, and shipment.
