What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Data Analyst with a background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or STEM with programming experience, to join the Nuclear Deterrence (ND) Data Analytics Team. In this role, you would deliver tools that enable verification, plotting and qualification outputs for the current and emerging programs to meet the national interests.
As a Data Analyst, you will be called to develop, maintain and implement a complete toolset that:
- Verifies requirements,
- Finds trends,
- Answers questions about system performance,
- Maps data to Digital Threads.
As part of this diverse multidisciplinary team, you may use your skills including:
- Software engineering,
- Qualification engineering,
- Software architecture,
- Modeling and simulation,
- Data analytics and visualization,
- Data science.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Complete Gitlab issues that may require some software development to help maintain the existing code base.
- Create MATLAB-based Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) and web applications.
- Run, maintain, and/or improve existing MATLAB code per request needs.
- Use SCRUM or AGILE methodologies using GitLab for code and issue management.
- Work closely with our team as we collaborate with engineers on emerging systems and functional electrical testing teams.
- Resolve technical and programmatic challenges in a collaborative manner.
- Learn new technical solutions, such as various Simulink-based capabilities.
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant will be required to work onsite in Albuquerque, NM. Some travel may be required for this position.
Salary Range:
$109,300 - $217,400
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
- Master's degree in a related STEM field, plus one (1) year of experience; OR Bachelor's degree in stated field, plus five (5) years of experience.
- Experience with MATLAB in developing/maintaining MATLAB code.
- Experience with Object-Oriented programming (e.g., Python, C#, C++, R, etc.).
- Experience with coding configuration management tools such as Git and/or GitLab.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of working with SCRUM or AGILE methodologies.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) of software releases.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
Qualifications We Desire:
- Understanding of Qualification Testing.
- Experience with Program or Project Management.
- Experience with Systems Engineering.
- Experience with Simulink.
- Experience with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience with User Experience (UX).
- Experience working cooperatively with other internal organizations, as well as external customers.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to develop and present briefings that are clear and compelling.
- Active DOE Q or equivalent DoD Top Secret clearance.
About Our Team:
The 2333 Data Analytics Team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating tool development to ensure accurate data analysis is completed on qualification and certification test data for the W80-4, W87-1, and emerging Nuclear Weapon Programs. Our team uses a highly coordinated Scrum/Sprint approach to execute of our tool development and resolve issues in a prioritized manner.
