What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a Year-Round Business Undergraduate Intern with an interest in Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition to join our dynamic recruiting team at Sandia National Laboratories.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Perform business operations that support recruiting, hiring, talent pipeline development, program events and projects that create strategic talent pipelines for Sandia National Laboratories
- Engage in projects to streamline business operations
- Assist in training initiatives to educate the Sandia recruiting community
- Help review resumes and engage talent
- Perform data input, produce reports, and perform analytics that inform management decisions and impact recruiting
- Utilize enterprise tools to develop and deliver recruiting insights and trends
Salary Range:
At Sandia, we value the important work done by our interns and its contribution to National Security. Because of this, our interns earn competitive pay rates. Our pay structure is based on earned credit hours, classification, and degree level. Your pay rate will be determined during the hire process and included in your offer package. Qualifications We Desire:
Ideally, we would like to see your background include some of the following:
- Pursuing undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, or other relevant degree
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience performing internet and searches via recruitment social media platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.)
- Interested in a multi-year internship within Human Resources, Talent Acquisition - Recruiting
- Prefer undergraduate student entering third year academic standing

Security Clearance:
Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.

NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Qualifications We Require:
You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:
- Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited undergraduate program
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
- U.S. citizenship
