Brief Summary of Work for this Position
This Business Services Coordinator reports to the Director of the Honors College. The Business Services Coordinator processes and coordinates both fiscal and administrative functions for the Honors College and for other departments in Undergraduate Education and Faculty Affairs whose functions are closely related to those of the Honors College.
This work includes budget management, processing financial transactions, reconciliation of financial data, purchasing, travel processing, cash receipting, hiring students and processing payroll actions along with other assigned duties as needed. This position works closely with the Business Officer in Academic Affairs Resource Administration and Business Affairs to make sure all policies and procedures are followed while timelines and deadlines are met.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred education, professional skills and experience
Experience with Banner Finance, Banner HR
Experience with Purchasing
Experience with Travel processing
Experience as well as familiarity with UNCW policies and processes
Familiarity with state funding
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills
