Summary
Performs varied duties within Patient Access Services pertaining to building provider scheduling templates, managing day to day opening and closing of templates and building visit types and blocks. Additionally, this role will support decision tree builds, maintenance and updates.
Job Duties
- Actively participates with Patient Access team in formulating Baylor Medicine Patient Access Scheduling guidelines to optimize and improve patient access.
- Advises and makes best practice recommendations for template/decision tree design to all internal stakeholders.
- Creates templates for central and non-central college wide departments based on Baylor Medicine Patient Access scheduling guidelines.
- Supports & builds all Visit Types (VT) and scheduling blocks and links them to scheduling templates and work closely with IT to link various VT and benefit groups.
- Tests decision trees, provider templates, questionnaires and monitor for design accuracy in accordance with the Baylor Medicine Patient Access guidelines.
- Communicates to clinical leadership and operational leadership when templates/decision trees are built and testing is completed.
- Responsible for working QGenda work que by designated guidelines/deadlines.
- Updates Patient Access Leadership (Front Desk, Referral Center, PRC, ROI and all other areas under Patient Access) when providers on-board or leave the College.
- Updates Patient Access Leadership (Front Desk, Referral Center, PRC, ROI and all other areas under Patient Access) when decision tree changes are requested and/or made providers on-board or leave the College.
- Supports & closes provider\'s templates, distributes \"bump list\" and manage and monitor updates.
- Supports & manages assigned clinic and college wide closures.
- Supports & manages college wide data for provider\'s templates closure.
- Partners with Patient Access Trainers to develop and train staff on template fundamentals, clinic cancellations, decision tree builds and maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED.
- Three years of relevant experience.
