Position Description:

The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Louisville anticipates hiring for a term faculty position in Hospitality Management at the rank of Assistant Professor or Instructor to teach in and to oversee its new Hospitality Management minor. This minor may grow to be a larger program over time. The search for the position will begin August 2024, and the position will begin in Fall 2024. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

Minimum Requirements:
• Possess a master's or PhD in a field related to hospitality management and
• Have functional knowledge of accounting, finance, marketing, operations, and human resource management.
• Have at least five years of hotel management experience.
• Have experience in designing and delivering hospitality management classes.
• Provide evidence of excellent teaching.
• Have a track record of being a good colleague and professional.

Teaching responsibilities will include classes related to hospitality management, and administrative responsibilities will include mentoring students, program management, marketing the program, participation on search committees as necessary, managing an advisory board, and other, related activities. The candidate may be required to teach online or in person. Courses will be at the undergraduate level in the near term.
