The Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work at the University of Oklahoma, Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences seeks four passionate and innovative social work scholars to join our dynamic faculty team beginning August 2025.
We invite applications for four available 9-month tenure track positions at the rank of assistant professor. All will be based on the Norman campus. Priority substantive areas of scholarship include forensic social work, global, international, or environmental social work, mental health, poverty and inequity, and youth (defined broadly).
The School is in the midst of a strategic expansion and is growing its tenure track ranks to support multiple programs. We value candidates with collaborative experience and ambitious research goals. Position responsibilities include developing and maintaining an active, fundable, research agenda that fits all qualifications related to success on the tenure track and who can teach across undergraduate and graduate programs. A 2:2 teaching load is expected.
The University of Oklahoma is home to the largest social work program in Oklahoma. The Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work offers fully accredited Bachelor and Master Social Work Programs to over 800 students annually across multiple programs: Norman, Tulsa, and Online. In 2025 the School plans to launch its official PhD program, admitting it’s inaugural class. Candidates are required to have earned a doctorate in Social Work or related discipline and have an MSW, with a preference of two years of full-time post MSW practice experience, and a proven record of independent scholarly potential. Salary is commensurate with experience.
