Job Description

The Temporary International Application/Credential Evaluation Reader will play a crucial role in supporting the Graduate & International Recruitment & Admissions team by evaluating and decisioning international applications and evaluating academic credentials. This position is part-time, requiring up to 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international education systems, experience in credential evaluation, and attention to detail. This is a remote position with a flexible work schedule.

Job Function:

The Temporary International Application/Credential Evaluation Reader will play a crucial role in supporting the Graduate & International Recruitment & Admissions team by evaluating and decisioning international applications and evaluating academic credentials. This position is part-time, requiring up to 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international education systems, experience in credential evaluation, and attention to detail. This is a remote position with a flexible work schedule.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required;

Preferred Education:

Advanced degree in Education, International Relations, or a related field preferred.

Minimum Experience:

Previous experience in international admissions, credential evaluation, or a related field and experience in CRM (e.g. Slate) is required

Preferred Experience:

Experience working with a diverse international student population. Familiarity with credential evaluation tools and databases

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate International Applications: Review, assess, decision international student applications to ensure they meet the institution's admission criteria.
  • Credential Evaluation: Analyze and evaluate academic credentials from various international education systems, ensuring accurate interpretation and equivalency to the U.S. education system.
  • Application Verification: Verify the authenticity of submitted documents, including transcripts, diplomas, and other credentials.
  • Communication: Collaborate with the admissions team to discuss application outcomes and provide clear, concise evaluation reports.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of all evaluations performed and ensure that application statuses are updated in the admissions system.
  • Quality Control: Ensure consistency and accuracy in the evaluation process, adhering to institutional policies and procedures.
  • Compliance: Stay informed a bout international education trends, credential evaluation standards, and compliance requirements related to international admissions.
