Summary
The Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics seek an outstanding pediatric emergency physician to join the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at CHRISTUS Children's. The ideal candidate will be excited to work in our busy downtown emergency department, where we see an interesting mix of complex cases as well as the usual pediatric illnesses and injuries. Our 44-bed pediatric ER sees about 70,000 visits per year and is designated as a Level 3 trauma center. Advanced Practice Providers appropriately support the physicians.
Job Duties
Responsibilities include the provision of care to critically ill and injured children in an emergency department setting as well as teaching fellows, residents, medical students, staff, overseeing the section and its administrative initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: M.D./DO degree; preferred: Pediatric Emergency Fellowship Trained.
- Certification/Licenses: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same).
- Board certification in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (or eligible for same).
- Current certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
