Job DescriptionWorking with the Physics business team in the College of Arts & Science offers a unique opportunity to ensure the smooth operations of financial and business systems. You'll play a crucial role in accounting, payroll, and reporting, directly contributing to the success of the department. You'll build relationships across departments and foster informed financial decisions. Primary Responsibilities Include:
Assist faculty with reimbursement requests, major purchases, contracts, and other financial transactions via the A&S accounts payable center
Assist with department timekeeping
Process payroll for department hires and track changes
Assist with payroll reconciliation reports
Assist with financial reporting - ensure automated financial reports are sent to faculty every month (faculty professional development funds, faculty start-up, internal awards, endowment/gift funds as needed)
Account reconciliation - complete checklists for all department funds and monitor for errors
Process correcting entries including payroll corrections
Shift
8-hours/day, Monday - Friday
Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $16.72 to $22.91
Grade: GGS 007
