JOB SUMMARY:The Chemistry Instructor is responsible for teaching Chemistry (CHEM) courses, labs and for developing CHEM course offerings at Williston State College (WSC). Successful applicant must demonstrate and maintain competence in CHEM throughout employment at the college; teach a course load of an average of 15 credits each semester of CHEM courses; teaching courses during the summer semester is optional for all faculty; regularly evaluate student progress toward course objectives; serve as academic advisor for students within the college advisement system; and serve on college, divisional and program committees as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Chemistry or a Master’s degree in another discipline and 18 graduate semester hours in discipline.
Preferred qualifications: Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level. Well demonstrated public speaking and communication skills. Industry experience with multiple programing languages. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook email and Calendar.
SALARY: $48,834, salary based on WSC Faculty Salary Matrix.
