Job Summary
This position represents Augusta University at programs and events on and off campus for the purpose of recruiting students to the university. To serve in this capacity, position requirements entail visiting with high school guidance counselors, students, their parents, and other education officials without supervision at private visits in high schools, college fairs, and at other special functions throughout an assigned geographic territory. This position is responsible for recruiting students from the designated territory as well as students for special and other identified populations.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
RECRUITMENT EVENTS: Represent Augusta University at day and evening programs, high school visits, college fairs and other off-campus events and programs for the purposing of recruiting students, including freshman and other populations to the University.
COMMUNICATION: Maintains communication via telephone, correspondence, and/or electronic mail with prospective students through all stages of the recruitment and admission process, tracking progress in customer relationship management system.
EVENTS: Assist with events, on and off campus, including information sessions for students and parents, high school counselor events, campus tour, group tours, and other admissions events.
RECRUIT & ADVISE: Serve as an in-house recruiter and advisor for walk-in and phone inquiries regarding information about programs and services provided by Augusta University, regardless of the student's level of entry.
OTHER DUTIES: Perform all other job-related duties as assigned including service on campus committees and duties assigned by the associate director or director of admissions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference given to candidates having worked in higher education, counseling, public relations, sales or marketing.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
Reliable means of transportation required
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to travel and work a varied schedule with flexible hours
Ability to work with a wide range of people and commitment to all
Ability to cover travel costs up from with reimbursement occurring after the fact required; reliable means of transportation required
Ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B7
Salary: $43,888 - $46,807.12
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum midpoint) of the position.

Conditions of Employment

If applicable for the specific position based on the duties: the candidate will also need to have a credit check completed for Positions of Trust and or approved departmental Purchase Card usage.
Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.
For Faculty Hires: Final candidates will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.
