Chief Operating Officer

City of Hope’s growing national system includes its Los Angeles campus, a network of clinical care locations across Southern California, a new cancer center in Orange County, California, and cancer treatment centers and outpatient facilities in the Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix areas.
The successful candidate:
Integration and Business Development:Ensures that the activities and operations of the medical center and outpatient care clinics are seamlessly integrated with the overall operating plan. Identifies and activates suitable external business opportunities.
Quality Care Management:Oversees the delivery of high-quality care and services through cost-effective facility management. Develops and participates in hospital-wide patient care programs, policies, and procedures to meet the care needs of the patient population.
Patient Acquisition and Retention:Designs, develops, and executes programs, policies, procedures, and initiatives aimed at driving patient acquisition and retention. Fosters an environment that supports effective and ongoing programs to measure, assess, and improve the quality of care and services provided to patients and caregivers.
Operational Improvements:Implements operational improvements using appropriate data, best practices, and benchmarking, alongside effective process improvement techniques. Identifies local business opportunities and partnerships to increase patient acquisition, service line utilization, and patient retention.
Strategic Planning:Serves as a key advisor to the President and CEO in establishing and executing strategic business plans to achieve operational objectives. Formulates and implements best practices and policies.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business or related field required
Advanced degree (e.g.) master’s degree in healthcare, business or related field preferred
10 Years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment; Minimum of 5 years in an executive level role preferred

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $119.86 - $210.08 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
