Department InformationThe Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering consists of over 550 undergraduate and graduate students and 13 full-time faculty members. The Department offers two ABET accredited undergraduate degree programs (BS Systems Engineering, BS Industrial Engineering Technology), two graduate degree programs (MS Engineering Management, MS Systems Engineering) and PhD Interdisciplinary Engineering degree under a mission to empower traditional and non-traditional students with the ability and vision to transform the future. The faculty are committed to growing a program which is nationally recognized for providing an outstanding education to aspiring engineers, as well as break-through research with relevance. Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering of the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology with a preferred start date of August 2025. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
Service to Department/ College/ University/ professional community is expected.
Scholarship/Research expectations include pursuing and receiving external grants, creating journal articles and peer-reviewed papers, advising undergraduate and/or graduate student research, etc.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering or Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, is required. Required degree must be earned by start date.
Research specialization that can enhance the department's research areas including operations research, simulation modeling/analysis, logistics and supply chain networks, human factors, health systems, or a related area.

Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
Record of past teaching
Post-doc experience
Prior success in obtaining extramural funding
