Job SummaryAs the Faculty Honors and Awards Manager, reporting to the Unit Administrator and the Faculty Awards Committee Chair, you will be the driving force behind recognizing and elevating the achievements of our Chemical Engineering faculty. Work Arrangement: We value the benefits of a hybrid work model and aim to provide our team members with the best of both worlds - remote work flexibility and in-person collaboration. The expectation for this role is 2-3 days onsite at the Ann Arbor, MI Campus for collaborative meetings, engaging directly with our vibrant academic community, and other on-site tasks.
What You'll Do
Manage the faculty awards and recognition process from pipeline development to submission
Establish and manage efficient processes for collecting, reviewing, and submitting nominations.
Lead staff team supporting faculty award submissions, including collaboration and distribution of nomination assignments
Provide insight and recommendations to the department awards committee on short and long-term awards planning based on analysis and tracking of awards across the discipline
Develop a comprehensive strategy to position UM ChE faculty for awards
Support award application and nomination processes
Maintain an awards database tracking nominations, submissions, and outcomes
