This role provides essential clerical and receptionist support for the Division of Diagnostic Radiology, serving both internal and external customers. The position involves assisting physicians, staff, and patients with a high degree of professionalism and autonomy. Responsibilities include patient registration, scheduling procedures, managing imaging studies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, handling imaging study imports/exports, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Additionally, this role participates in process improvement efforts and supports the development of policies for imaging informatics.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Import imaging studies from affiliated healthcare enterprises, physicians and staff in a timely manner.
- Be responsible for patient information, visit information and order detail reconciliation of imported studies.
- Process requests to export imaging studies to affiliated healthcare enterprises, patients, physicians and staff in a timely manner to include de-identified imaging studies for clinical trials and teaching files.
- Input and resolution of patient information, visit details and order details for imaging studies per departmental and organizational process
The following non-essential functions may be reassigned:
- Collaborate with colleagues and physicians to manage import/export requests for medical images.
- Communicate with vendors regarding product development for systems and solutions.
- Perform first-line troubleshooting and coordinate with IT and vendors for issue resolution.
- Handle general tasks like photocopying and maintaining cleanliness.
- Manage inventory and ensure areas are stocked with supplies.
- Contribute to policy development and implementation for imaging informatics.
- Support validation and verification of imaging systems and solutions.
Your qualifications should include:
Education:
- High School or equivalent
- Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
Experience:
- Three years of experience in healthcare environment preferably in Diagnostic Radiology including registration and scheduling patient appointments

2 positions available: Shifts vary
Monday- Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM or 11:30AM-8:00PM

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $24.18 - $33.86 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
