What You Will Achieve
The Director, Content Engine Lead, is a new role within the Chief Marketing Office that reports up through the newly established Earned and Partnerships function. You will join this team and help to establish the content and opportunistic strategy (based on insights / analytics) for our commercial portfolio based on SEO insights. You will build and manage a team that drives this content strategy to drive search across our portfolio of commercial products. You will assess and advise on optimizing content integrated with our commercial platforms where there are gaps; manage KPIs for content channels and continuously adapt based on audience and business needs. You will create agile process for brands / commercial organization to respond to opportunistic moments with content that fits into culture. You will help to evolve and maintain a rapid response and proactive content engine - aligned to priorities and therapeutic areas and commercial needs. You will need to work cross-functionally to create commercial / marketing content across a matrix environment (corporate affairs, cross-CMO organization, brand teams).
How You Will Achieve It
Work with brand marketers to produce optimized social & digital creative content that employs & understands platform best practices and nuances
Partner with marketers and communications teams on editorial planning designing, creating, editing and publishing of relevant content based on commercial objectives and cultural contexts
In partnership with SEO lead, develop, implement ongoing optimization of SEO strategy for content across priority platforms for the company
Capture of analytics in partnership with social listening and reporting lead to evaluate ongoing performance of content
The individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to accelerate and simplify how we bring digital content externally; working to create new processes that enables faster, agile review processes

Qualifications
Must-Have
Bachelor's degree
10+ years of experience either in-house or at the agency setting in relevant roles
Strong understanding of social media and digital platforms
Strong examples of past work executing content strategies and campaigns
Strong project management skills
Growth mindset and ability to build something new in a white space
Excellent written skills for digital properties
Strong understanding of the legal and compliance regulations in the healthcare marketing space
Experience working with hybrid and central/decentralized content teams
Experience working in regulated industries or able to think strategically about prioritization and scale in this environment
Experience defining content-related KPIs and measurement strategies
Experience managing decoupled content environments in a way to minimize overlap and inconsistencies of brand voice when multiple environments inadvertently compete with each other across search and social
Compelling communication skills
Aptitude for convincing others (internally and externally) of the value of their ideas
Exceptional interpersonal skills and mastery of working in a matrix environment
Must be able to both drive strategy and execute with speed and high quality

Executive presence and ability to interact and influence effectively with all levels of the organization
