Job Description
Reporting to the Planning manager, the incumbent will work at the Above Site Network Production Planning level and has responsibility for the development and issuing of a detailed monthly master production schedule of plant specific key Global Brands. This position is critical in creating and maintaining a planning system and process that ensure highly efficient utilization of equipment and resources in support of the site’s plan of record. This individual must utilize SAP/ S4Hana/APO to extract and compile relevant plant planning and reporting information.
Role responsibilities:
- Responsible of preparing production plans for manufacturing and packaging areas using site software systems to ensure correct market supply that avoids not only out of stock situations but also overstocks in the markets, while considering the needs of product delivery to the customer and the production limitations of the Plant.
- Demand Change Analysis - Monitor month-on-month demand changes over a rolling 3-12 month horizon.
- Demand Validation - Liaise with markets and FG sites to interrogate and validate demand changes; ID root causes; Ensure system requirements up to date.
- New Products / Product change - Incorporate demand for new products changes into the plan.
- Demand issue identification - Use cross-site call forum to flag demand signal issues; Establish root-cause (MD vs. process).
- Manage site finished goods, bulk and production materials inventories. Minimize inventory write-offs. Monitor and manage inventory shelf-life/expiry dates, and actively improve processes to avoid obsolescence write-offs. Maintain stock levels according to company strategy.
- Capacity Balancing - Collaborate with Site Planning Team to resolve asset balancing trade-offs ensuring sufficient supply performance.
- Supply Management - Review high-level supply requirements across full planning horizon; Prioritize orders based on market inventory position, SKU segmentation, and site/above site production strategy.
- Supply Alert and Issue Mgmt - Review alerts (exceeding threshold); Identify proposed changes; Share urgent issues with Site Planner and communicate urgent issues.
- Site/above site Planning Meeting - Conduct weekly meeting with Site Planner to discuss priorities and to monitor / control schedule break-ins.
- Supply Governance - Review high-level supply requirements across full PP/DS horizon; Prioritize orders based on market inventory position, SKU segmentation, and site/above site production strategy.
- Actively committed to supply problems solving, proactively identifies potential supply issues and communicates them effectively, both internally and externally to obtain its resolution.
- Allocation planning - Develop a bulk or Finished Good allocation plan with BSL guidance and handover to Site Planner (in constrained supply scenarios).
- Supply governance - Participate in weekly supply governance calls to troubleshoot low stock issues and balance cost vs. supply trade-offs.
- Plan of Record – On a monthly basis develop/update mfg site monthly and annual production volume plan of record. Review month to month changes with site Supply Chain.
- Continue follow up to ensure the information contained in planning systems is up to date and accurate (SAP ECC, SAP APO). Review / update system parameters; Review master data workflow; work with master data team to define and set system parameters in system as required.
- Responsible to develop KPIs and action plans to ensure customer and business needs are met.
- Data Analytics - Track supply performance vs metrics, analyze demand supply changes, perform scenario analysis and provide optimal solutions to mitigate supply risks
- Data visualization - Leverage available digital tools (Tableau etc.) to effectively summarize the supply performance and optimal supply solutions. Ensure alignment of data across systems and remediate errors.
- Active participation in improvement projects at department, site and company level.
- Support Planning manager in the development of local S&OP.
- Maintain and update departmental SOP’s, complete area change controls and commitments.

Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field required.
- Relevant experience in supply/production/demand planning required.
- Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification would be a plus.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications with advanced strengths in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong analytical skills.
- High knowledge and management of SAP (ECC Production module and APO)
- Tableau and Visual Basic knowledge desirable.
- Exposure to advanced analytics like predictive modelling/algorithm planning.
- Fluent in written and verbal Spanish and English, knowledge of other languages will be an asset.
