Position Description:

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics in the University of Louisville School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position. The appointment will be at the level of assistant professor, but exceptional candidates will also be considered at the associate professor level. The Department has a vibrant research portfolio with recent hires geared toward genomic approaches to a range of fundamental problems including host-pathogen interactions, immunogenomics, cardiovascular disease, zebrafish development and genetic/environment interactions. The successful applicant is expected to be a vital part of the Department’s research enterprise by maintaining a vigorous and independently funded research program. Of particular interest will be individuals working in areas related to the Department’s strengths in genomics or topics relevant to institutional affiliates including: the Center for Cardiometabolic Science, the Brown Cancer Center, and the Envirome Institute (Cardiovascular).
