College/Department Information
The Medical College of Georgia is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 260 students per class. The educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state and a second four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia. MCG's expanding partnerships with physicians and hospitals across Georgia currently provides about 350 sites where students can experience the full spectrum of medicine, from complex care hospitals to small-town solo practices. MCG and its teaching hospitals also provide postgraduate education to more than 500 residents and fellows in 50 different Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved programs. Our researchers and clinicians focus on what most impacts the health of Georgia's and America's children and adults, including cardiovascular biology and disease, cancer, neurosciences and behavioral sciences, public and preventive health, regenerative and reparative medicine, personalized medicine and genomics. Our physician faculty also share their expertise with physicians and patients at about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide.
Job Summary

A Psychometrician is necessary to gather and evaluate evidence of content, construct, and criterion validity for each assessment instrument, as well as to collect and analyze data to establish acceptable levels of inter-rater, internal, and test-retest reliability. A trained Psychometrician will help to inform and operationalize new standard operating procedures in the assessment and evaluation of student performance data to align with the new learning objectives of the MCG 3+ Curriculum.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Recommend methodologies
Recommend methodologies and analyses, perform effective and efficient data analysis, interpret results, and communicate findings.
Perform psychometric analyses
Perform psychometric analyses to support best practices in reliability and validity for new and existing assessment instruments.
Assist in the design, development, and documentation
Assist in the design, development, and documentation of technical and operational procedures and psychometric guidelines to support the application and continuous improvement of rigorous assessment and evaluation.
Document technical requirements
Document technical requirements, clean and maintain data for analysis , and create and run custom analyses, interpret statistical results, and write reports.
Maintain Data Privacy
Create and protect secure databases and maintain data privacy, ensure data integrity, and model best practices in data privacy laws and policies.
Demonstrate strong data entry and computer skills
Demonstrate strong data entry and computer skills, including proficiency in SPSS and MS Office with an emphasis in Excel for the performance of analytics and pivot tables.

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Psychometrics or a related field with five years of specialized training and experience in the areas of psychometrics and assessment procedures
OR
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Psychometrics or a related field with a minimum of two years of specialized training and experience in the areas of psychometrics and assessment procedures.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)
Pay Band: 12
Salary: Minimum $62,300.00/Annually - $79,400.00/Annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
