Position Summary
This position will create awareness of and promote the amenities offered by Auxiliary Services, including Dining Services, Transportation and Parking Services, the UGA Golf Course, and the UGA Bookstore. The position will receive its primary guidance and direction from the Marketing Manager, Marketing Director, and other members of the Auxiliary Services leadership team.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Understanding of marketing principles, trends, and practices
Excellent communication, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Ability to create, write copy, and edit materials for marketing purposes
Ability to gather and analyze data, and prepare reports for marketing campaigns
Ability to use independent judgement
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Ability to lead a team of student employees
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Attentive to details for precise analysis of data
Ability to proactively plan and implement promotional events such as Spring and Summer meal plan sales, resource fairs, Watch for Dawgs safety events, and new student orientation sessions
Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
General knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop preferred
Physical Demands
Sit at a desk & work on a computer for long periods of time.
Stand for long periods of time
Lifting/carrying of equipment not greater than 30 lbs.
