Summary

The Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Partner enhances organizational performance by aligning HR strategy to business strategy.

This position develops functional goals and objectives and drives the operational direction of the HR Business Partner team.

The role will be focused on providing guidance on issues pertaining to talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, retention, compensation, workforce and succession planning, and other areas of Human Resources.

Job Duties

  • Oversees and directs the HR Business Partner team. Sets direction, deploys resources and is responsible for performance evaluations, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions.
  • Drives the direction of the HR Business Partner team and executes the functional strategy of the unit.
  • Resolves escalated issues identified by HR Business Partners and/or department leader and may partner with appropriate HR leader, if needed
  • Works closely with senior management within specific business units to develop and implement predominately medium to long-term HR solutions aligned to business strategy.
  • Provides guidance to leadership in developing plans to improve workforce and career planning, employee retention and engagement, performance management, and process improvement.
  • Provides HR expertise and coaching in areas such as: talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, HR data analysis, and performance management (including employee coaching and guidance).
  • Proactively identifies strategic gaps or opportunities and proposes a consulting plan to identify and address root causes.
  • Acts as a change agent by collaborating with key stakeholders to support and implement change management initiatives and ensure that objectives are met.
  • Provides relevant metrics, analyzes trends, and translates data into actionable information to make recommendations regarding solutions to business problems, operational needs, and future opportunities.
  • Identifies HR improvement opportunities from the business units and joins with HR leaders to develop solutions.
  • Partners with HR leaders to drive new HR initiatives to improve employee and business performance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ten years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Ten years of professional HR experience in more than one professional discipline.
  • Extensive experience in talent planning, engagement, retention, employee relations, leadership development or compensation.
