Job Description
We are seeking one tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor level to assist with our program expansion. Successful applicants will demonstrate content expertise in areas such as clinical practice, policy, research, theory, and field education. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the NASW Code of Ethics and communicate specific ways they teach these standards to BSW and MSW students. We are especially interested in those with experience in gerontology, medical social work, mental health & clinical addictions, rural communities, leadership/ non-profit management, and/or macro social work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
A) Teach undergraduate and graduate social work courses across the curriculum
B) Conduct research and mentor student research, and
C) Contribute actively to the academic and professional community through service activities.
D) Perform other related duties as assigned by the Department Chair.

Minimum Experience:
B. Earned doctorate in social work or related discipline by the time of appointment (August 2025)
C. At least four (4) months (one semester) of teaching experience at the BSW or MSW level, gained concurrently or at any time.
D. Two (2) years of post-MSW practice experience.
E. Record of scholarship and plans for future research
Preferred Experience:
D. Active social work or addictions counselor license (LSW, LCSW, or LCAC preferred)
E. Demonstrated success in grant writing, publication, and dissemination of research
