Job Description
We are looking for a postdoc to lead the translation of optical neuroimaging technology for neurosurgical applications. The postdoc should have experience developing optical instrumentation. Experience in image analysis, prototyping, machine learning, or entrepreneurship is a plus.
We focus on developing optical neuroimaging technology to study and treat brain diseases. We are devoted to applying novel neuroimaging and therapeutic approaches for advancing the standard of care in neurosurgery and the treatment of neurological disorders. We collaborate closely with neurosurgeons within the OU Health Science Center (HSC) Department of Neurosurgery, which ranked #14 for NIH funding in 2023 among Neurosurgery Departments.
We also collaborate closely with the Stephenson Cancer Center (SCC) at OU HSC. The SCC is a National Cancer Institute designated cancer center and is the nation’s No. 1 cancer center for patient clinical trial accrual.
We offer an immersive environment that blends biomedical engineering and translational research. We provide training in scientific and engineering research, and professional development including grant-writing workshops. Salary range is $52,000-71,000 depending on experience level.
