Pfizer’s crisis management program follows an all-hazards approach and prioritizes an agile response to incidents impacting life safety while preserving critical operations, surrounding environments, brand, reputation, and patient safety. This position is responsible for the management and delivery of the Pfizer corporate crisis management program across the Pfizer enterprise. The position focuses on the crisis management program lifecycle of: Preparedness, Response, Recovery and Continuous Improvement.
This position operationally collaborates with all business resilience functions including GEHS, BCM, and Digital to collectively align and support the company business resilience model. The position collaborates with internal intelligence & corporate travel teams to assess high-risk travel to ensure colleague travel safety and business efficiency. Additionally, this position assesses global risk factors, conducts trend analysis, and recommends preparedness and risk mitigation strategies.
Within the Global Security organization’s hybrid model, this position will be tasked with security generalist tasks within Global Security’s pillars which includes colleague & site security and product integrity for patient safety.
This position will report directly to the Senior Director, Physical Risk Mitigation, Global Security, and will support Global Security Senior Directors and their teams.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages outcomes of the corporate crisis management program. Supports sites, country/clusters and corporate crisis management teams with operational training, crisis management plans and teams, and tabletop exercises.
- Responsible to engage with Corporate Crisis Management Team (CCMT) activations, agendas and follow on actions
- Identify and manage the implementation of new crisis management tools and applications
- Develop KPIs for program metrics and reports; develop dashboard capabilities to present and report compliance
- Facilitate process reviews with key stakeholders to ensure the corporate crisis management program, policy and standards, are ‘fit for purpose’ and ‘best in class’
- Support Global Security Regional Senior Directors with regional crisis management activations, crisis management teams’ preparedness and training requests
- Actively support & enhance the company travel security program, assessing high risk travel while enhancing the safety and efficiency of our traveling colleagues
- Assess global risks with potential business impacts; analyze and peer benchmark; develop preparedness and risk mitigation strategies
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent
- Demonstrable leadership experience in a similar role; private or public sector, security, law enforcement or military experience
- Demonstrate resourcefulness with proven ability to anticipate needs, prioritize responsibilities, manage multiple priorities with tight timelines, and take initiative
- Possess excellent communication skills with an ability to respond with professionalism in verbal and written communications with all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated strong self-starter, independent, pro-active, and change agile
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues, excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively and effectively at all levels of the organization including company Blueprint Leaders and internal/external key stakeholders
- An effective change agent with highly developed problem-resolution skills
- Initiates personal accountability for quality of personal work that impacts the organization; manages personal professional development; seeks continuous improvement
- Fluent skills in Microsoft Suite products
- Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in project management
- Professional credentials in crisis management or business continuity
- Working experience in the Everbridge 360 platform
- Working experience in the pharmaceutical industry

- Ability to perform complex analysis and presenting to stakeholders
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
- This position is an exempt position
- This position is based at a Pfizer site with ‘log in for your day’ flexibility
- 25-50% regional travel is expected; 20% global travel.
- Global Security’s sphere of activity is 24/7. While the average work week will entail 40 hours of work during a standard Monday to Friday work week, the successful applicant will be expected to be available after hours and on weekends toaddress and manage threats
