The Industrialization team within Enterprise Data Science and Advanced Analytics leads the scaling of data and insights capabilities - critical drivers and enablers of Pfizer’s digital transformation.
As a Data Science Industrialization Scrum Master, you will be part of the Data Science Industrialization team charged with building and maintaining data science and AI industrialized asset products that power key business applications. You will be a key proponent and coach of Agile practices and values, using these to help drive forward the program of digital transformation and industrialization that powers Pfizer’s customer-oriented vision.
Role Responsibilities
- Work with product leads to align teams with industrialized assets’ vision, sprint goals, and release objectives
- Facilitate agile development for industrialized assets and coach multiple agile delivery pods
- Create an environment of collaboration within the agile pods that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
- Champion continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity; coach agile pod team members to conduct continuous improvements
- Communicate impediments to leadership, clear impediments for the agile pods
- Support product leads in creation and maintenance of the industrialized assets backlog
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s degree with major or minor in information management, information systems, or similar field
- 3+ years of work experience with Agile and Scrum frameworks and their application in product development and delivery organization
- Sound understanding of Agile scaling frameworks, and various other Agile frameworks such as Kanban and SAFe in leveraging the right technique at the right time
- Demonstrated success in coaching multiple agile project teams (pods) across products
- Proficient with project management and agile software applications, MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with task management tools (e.g. JIRA) and knowledge management tools (e.g. Confluence)
- Highly self-motivated to deliver both independently and with strong team collaboration
- Ability to creatively take on new challenges and work outside comfort zone
- Strong English communication skills (written & verbal)
Nice-to-Have
- Scrum Master certification
- Knowledge of life science industry technology strategies
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and drive business decisions with information and make appropriate trade-off decisions
- Strong attention to detail including precise and effective stakeholder communications and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
