Job Description
RequirementsThe Program Coordinator, Summer and Special Programs is responsible for a portfolio of summer and special programs, managing all aspects of the program management from design and development through implementation under the direction of the Director of Program Management. The Program Coordinator ensures the on-time delivery of high-quality academic programs and troubleshoots all problems when programs are in session, minimizing the impact on students and faculty. The Program Coordinator’s primary areas of responsibility include:
Project management
Relationship management
Staff supervision and management
Program delivery
Other duties as assigned
Work Interactions
The Program Coordinator, Summer and Special Programs reports directly to the Director of Program Management, Summer and Special Programs and interacts with internal and external partners. Internal partners include the Office of the University Registrar, Student Centers, GEMS, Office of Government Relations, Office of Transportation Management, Classroom Education Technology Services, SCS Marketing, the Director of Finance and Operations, the Assistant Dean of Faculty Affairs, and the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. Externally, the Director of Program Management will interact with off-site partners and vendors.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Up to 1 year experience working in academic program management required, 2 years preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be proficient in Google drive and MS Suite
Work Mode Designation
This position has been designated as Hybrid. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Such review may necessitate a change to a position’s mode of work designation. Complete details about Georgetown University’s mode of work designations for staff and AAP positions can be found on the Department of Human Resources website: https://hr.georgetown.edu/mode-of-work-designation.This position may work remotely from September 1st through March 31st but must be in-person at least two days a week April 1st through August 31st on main campus, though additional days may be required to meet programmatic needs. Additionally, this position will be expected to attend select program events, such as check-in, closing ceremonies and or orientations.
Pay Range
The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $23.80- $29.04. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
