Description:The University of Houston-Clear Lake invites applications for the position Lecturer of Biology, beginning August 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Genetics Laboratory, Anatomy and Physiology I and II lecture/lab and other courses to meet the demand of the program.
UHCL is a comprehensive university with over 8,000 students adjacent to NASA Johnson Space Center and within driving distance of the Texas Medical Center and UTMB Medical Center in Galveston. Duties:
Teach a normal teaching load of 12 credit hours per semester (4:4 course teaching load) with the opportunity to teach courses in the summer semester.
Develop and present Lectures for Classroom.
Develop and present laboratory Lectures and experiments.
Maintain Laboratory facility, materials, and equipment.
Create and grade exams and practicals.
Participate in University and Public service.
Qualifications:
Required:
Candidates must have a Master of Science in biology or a closely related field.
Preferred:
Preference will be given to individuals with experience teaching Genetics labs and Anatomy and Physiology I and II lectures and labs. The successful candidates will have primary responsibility of teaching.
