The College of Allied Health Sciences at Augusta University is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor that will provide instruction for students in the new Pre-Speech-Language Pathology (Pre-SLP) Concentration and the Master of Health Science (M.H.S.) in Speech-Language Pathology. Effort will include teaching, scholarship, and service for both academic programs. Instruction will consist of didactic and laboratory environments. The candidate chosen for this position will participate in scholarship activities to include research, presentation and publications as well as participating in service to the department, college, and institution. This faculty position will be an integral part of the SLP department in facilitating the development, implementation, and evaluation of course content aligning with accreditation standards, including student advising and mentoring according to program, college and university, policies.

Responsibilities
Teaching- 80%
Instruction in Pre-Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) and M.H.S. in SLP
Scholarship- 10%
Participate in scholarship activities to include research, presentations, and publications.
Service- 10%
Participate in service to the institution, college and department by serving on committees at all levels.
Required Qualifications
Masters in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders AND an earned research PhD or EdD doctorate. ABD candidates are welcome to apply; however, the required degree must be conferred before the fall 2025 semester begins. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language-Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The candidate must hold or is eligible for an SLP license from the Licensing Division of the Georgia Secretary of State.

Assistant Professor- early-level career as a faculty member 0-4 years experience in related field.
Associate Professor- mid-level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
Professor- senior-level career faculty member with 10 or more years of experience in related field to include five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience. Per Board of Regents (BOR) policy, Professors must have a terminal degree.
Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks within these institutions shall be:

• Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation;
• Evidence of ability as a teacher;
• Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned;
• Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and,
• Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.

This position is fiscal year based and works year-round.
The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time.
Assistant Professor- Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
Associate Professor- Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
Professor- Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
