About the PositionWesleyan College invites applications for a full time, Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Biology starting August 2025. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in the biological sciences, excellent communication skills, and a history of strong commitment to undergraduate instruction and research. The successful candidate will join our vibrant Natural Science and Mathematics Division, teaching courses that support the Biology major with particular emphasis on:
• Physiology
• Human Anatomy and Physiology
• Genetics
• Introductory biology courses
We seek candidates who employ innovative teaching methods, embrace interdisciplinary connections, and demonstrate a passion for undergraduate research mentorship.
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (ABD candidates will be considered)
• Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching
• Strong commitment to undergraduate research
• Experience working with diverse student populations
