A Research Associate II position is available in the Department of Immuno-Oncology under Dr. Peter Lee. This is a fast-paced lab that aims to convert multi-modal immune phenotyping observations into translational therapy approaches. This position would be for a research team member to evaluate anti-cancer and immunomodulatory effects of ivermectin with and without immune checkpoint inhibitors in multiple cancer types. You will be trained on custom developed protocols, animal handling and molecular screening pipelines.

As a successful candidate you will be responsible for the following lab techniques:

· Mouse treatment studies for cancer

· Mouse tissue processing and cell subset isolation

· Cell culture assays

· Bulk RNA and DNA isolation for next-generation sequencing

· Single cell RNA sequencing library preparation

· Flow cytometry-based assays for screening of immune cell function

· Animal Models

· In-Vitro work

Your qualifications should include:

· Bachelor’s degree or Masters degree in Biological Sciences.

· 2+ years of hands-on lab research experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 1+ year related experience with a Master’s degree.

· Due to the extensive training for this role, we are requiring a one year commitment.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $33.00 - $51.15 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
