About This Role
K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an Associate Director of Development, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.

An example of job responsibilities includes but is not limited to the following:

Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects with the expectation to make 150+ personal visits annually.
Identify, manage, cultivate and solicit new and current prospects for major gifts and annual leadership gifts for the Ahearn Fund and K-State Athletics. Frequent travel within the state of Kansas, bordering states and potential national travel to cultivate and solicit gifts.
Work home and some away K-State Athletic sporting events and donor events
Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
Two years of college athletics major gift fundraising experience or comparable sales experience.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to promote and demonstrate respect, collaboration and friendly customer service in all working relationships and situations
Preferred Qualifications:

Three years of college athletics major gift fundraising experience or comparable sales experience.
Experience working with and managing a portfolio of donors
Experience fundraising in NCAA Div I athletics
Former student-athlete
Other Requirements:

Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
Must be able to travel as required
Must have a valid driver’s license at all times
