Advertised Job Summary
The IT Resource Consultant ’s tasks will include, but not be limited to:
Monitoring and providing system maintenance for various hardware and software objects utilized in the CBORD system.
Conducting post-installation studies and evaluations.
Supporting the Columbia and all System Campuses, that use the CBORD system.
Daily system administration, new hardware installation and testing, trouble shooting, problem resolution, system research, system upgrade planning, project planning and vendor communication.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials
Preferred Qualifications
Five (5) years of experience in computer system development and modification.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Proven problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of multiple device network systems, third party purchased systems and relational databases (Oracle) and SQL language.
Knowledge of servers and networks.
Ability to respond to frequent demands of multiple clients.
Ability to analyze data and provide solutions to complex problems.
Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal communications.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, team members and customers.

Job Duty
Directs, oversees, and participates in operational support of critical administrative systems. Resolve emergency CarolinaCard problems including, but not limited to door access, garage access, assisting with dining issues, and limited vending issues. Monitor system performance. Implement solutions to prevent problems in the future. Initiate immediately with CBORD and follow-up in appropriate time frame.
Runs existing CBORD reports and create new ones as needed. Researches inquiries from users and provide system access as necessary.
Coordinates upgrades, releases, and enhancements with the USC academic and financial calendars.

Job Duty
Provides business analyst support in the analysis, design, testing and implementation of critical administrative systems. Learns and understands the underlying People Soft data model and data fields feeding the CarolinaCard system, to include all integrations between People Soft, Banner, and CarolinaCard.
Provides direction and assistance to team members by: assisting in the education of the programs; learning the Squadron Door Access System; learning the CS Gold Administrative System; learning and supporting campuses dining meal plans; identifying and implementing the appropriate CBORD report for a customer need.
