Position Summary
Bryant University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting position in the College of Business, beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s strong tradition of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and professional engagement. Rank at the time of appointment will be based on qualifications and experience.

Principal Accountabilities
Teach undergraduate and/or graduate accounting courses, emphasizing innovative pedagogy and integration of emerging technology analytics, including AI. An ability to teach tax and/or governmental accounting is desirable.
Develop and sustain a program of scholarly research leading to peer-reviewed publications and professional recognition.
Advise and mentor students, supporting their academic, professional, and personal growth.
Contribute to departmental, college, and university service through committee work, curriculum development, and student engagement.
Participate in professional organizations and maintain connections with the accounting profession to keep teaching and research relevant and impactful.
Qualifications
Earned Ph.D. or DBA in Accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution (ABD candidates with expected completion by August 2026 will be considered for the Assistant rank).
Evidence of excellence or strong potential for excellence in university-level teaching.
Demonstrated ability (Assistant) or established record (Associate) of high-quality scholarly research.
Professional experience and/or credentials such as CPA, CMA, CIA, CFE, etc., are desirable
