Vitreoretinal Physician

Faculty Position Available: Ophthalmologist - Retina

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, University of Louisville School of Medicine, has an opening for a full-time term track faculty member in the department’s Retina Service. Applicants must have graduated from a fully-accredited ophthalmology residency program, and completed training in an approved vitreoretinal fellowship program. Preference will be given to candidates that are certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Furthermore, candidates need to be eligible for licensure in the state of Kentucky. The successful candidate will have clinical (medical and surgical), and educational responsibilities in the department as well as with University of Louisville Physicians/UofL Health.

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is located in the University of Louisville Health Eye Institute, on the campus of the University of Louisville Health Sciences Center. The University of Louisville Hospitals, University of Louisville outpatient facilities, Jewish Hospital, Frazier Rehab Institute, Norton Hospital, and Norton Children’s Hospital comprise the hospitals in the medical center complex. Our clinical faculty also operates at University of Louisville Medical Center East and Baptist Hospital East. The Retina Service also provides care to patients in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
