Join our dedicated, diverse team in the field of integrated resource assessment and contribute your expertise in the area of material availability for energy system transformation. Team Leader - Integrated Resource Assessment

Your Job:
- Strategic development of the research field on material availability in global energy system transformations, building on the content of the ERC Starting Grant
- Independent project management of research projects for the timely and results-orientated management of scientific work
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of the scientific team, including mentoring and career development of doctoral candidates and students
- Publication of research results in high-ranking journals and active networking at the national and international level

Your Profile:
- The prerequisite for this scientific leadership position is an above-average PhD in energy system modeling, material flow analysis, or a related field, and a corresponding master`s degree
- You have extensive experience in industrial ecology and material flow analysis and are confident in programming, preferably in Python
- Extensive experience in the successful acquisition, management, and leadership of third-party funded projects (national/international), ideally including knowledge of EU funding programs
- Excellent publication record in internationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals and at relevant conferences
- Proven leadership experience with students or doctoral candidates is an advantage
- English skills at least on a C1 level, German skills are very advantageous
