Performs academic advising, educational, professional, or other basic academic advising or training at the individual or group level as appropriate. Work is performed under supervision with performance based on individual advising effectiveness and overall program results obtained.

About the Department and/or College

Founded in 1925 as one of the university's four original colleges, the College of Arts & Sciences is comprised of 15 departments, offering a wide variety of courses and programs in the humanities, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics, physical sciences, and natural sciences. The college is the largest on TTU’s campus, representing more than a quarter of the university’s student population.

Major/Essential Functions

Performs Success Advising, and career Advising or training for students, at the individual or group level as appropriate.
Track students' academic progress, track college retention & persistence data. Generate information and analyses as needed.
Attend & help manage Summer RRO, as well as attend some recruiting and outreach events on behalf of the College. These may occur after-hours or on weekends.
Coordinate with the departmental advisors of the College of Arts & Sciences when necessary.
Assist Associate Dean with various initiatives and tasks related to retention and recruiting.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; one year related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Advising or counseling experience
Experience in career placement
Experience with students
